Today I was watching a tv program RAVISH KI REPORT on NDTV India (8th Jan 2010), and was deeply touched again. Its not that what he showed I wasn't aware, I was.. but it again brought to my conscience how people are living... how they have to struggle for every single paisa..how they are risking their lives for as little as 5 rupees a day.. some are earning 20 rupees a day... this much small amount for 10-12 hrs of very very hard work... they are being exploited and abused.. and they have to do this to feed their family and they have no choice..
before I write anything I will like to say that we can make a big difference.. yes we can.. how I will tell, but read on...
why are these people have to suffer like this.. its because of POLITICS played by every party in the country.. they need poor people for VOTES and nothing else. And let me be very clear all party are involved.. talking about parties will be a waste of our time and will not do justice to our cause.
why should we do ? its not our job... well if you think like this, then please stop reading and carry on with your life, all the best ...

Many times I have thought I will do things like this, after I reach some stage in my life and so on.. but that time never comes... its NOW or NEVER..
and even if I think it will be difficult or I think it wont make any difference, it shouldn't stop me from doing my bit...
solution is pretty simple.. give ONE HOUR daily for that cause ONLY.. yes if we all give ONE HOUR daily for them it will bring a big difference to their lives. Why ONE hour and why not some money.. well many in the past might have donated money, but I think it doesn't work that much.. simply because you need to get involved to understand it. If we work for them we will understand them and once we understand them we will understand their pain too. And this will make us more HUMAN...
And giving ONE HOUR of my daily life will mean I am giving my ONE HOUR efficiency to them for their cause.. money is quantitative, time isn't. All will feel equally important this way because all are doing their part in the best way they can.
So you may think where to spend that one HOUR and how.. Well spend ONE hour of your life in a way which suits you the most.
For example I will be writing articles for them in this one hour and will post those on the internet. And whatever revenue it generates (I hope it will) will be used for them ONLY.
We can even form groups and plan our time better to channelize things.. like a designer can design website in one hour, a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can optimize it and so on.. and whatever revenue is generated will be utilized for them and them ONLY.
A doctor can play his part in ONE hour.. a lawyer can play his part.. and so on.. all who have his intentions will play his part for the betterment of life of those who aren't fortunate..
and its not Charity... its our part which we have to play, else we may be successful but we wont be a good human being.. how can we be happy even after seeing so much misery and hardships around.. ??
I am not saying don't be happy, be happy, have fun... but do your bit on this ONE HOUR.. If you can't spare one hour daily, then you can combine it and work on any one day.. its all upto you.
today I have played my part by giving my ONE HOUR writing this..

We dont need big companies to make difference, we can do much better than them... if intentions and efforts are there result will come automatically ..
our life and work will go on, but I think we can take out ONE hour for those who aren't fortunate enough and are living in conditions which we can't even imagine.. lets play our part... even if it requires ONE hour of less sleep, I think we can..
very soon my ONE hour article will move to a new domain so that all traffic goes to that website not mine.
